Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Zero Point Labs LLC (“Zero Point Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Glimmer iOS application, including its puzzles, story content, artwork, audio, and related services (together, “Glimmer” or “the App”).
The short version: Glimmer is a single-player puzzle game with no accounts and no sign-in. We license it to you for personal, non-commercial play. Progress lives on your device, not on our servers, so keep your device backups current. The App is advertising-supported and may offer optional one-time purchases through Apple.
1. Accepting these Terms
Glimmer does not ask you to sign in or tap “I agree.” By downloading, installing, or continuing to use the App, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. You can read both at any time from Settings inside the App, or at the links on this page. If you do not agree, please delete the App and stop using it — that is the only thing we ask of you, and it costs nothing.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or else have permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the App.
Glimmer is a general-audience puzzle game rated 4+ on the App Store. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, and no user profiles, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in a way that requires verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through Glimmer, contact us at hello@zeropointlabsllc.com and we will investigate and delete what we can identify. Parents can also limit or disable advertising personalization and in-app purchases using iOS Screen Time and Content & Privacy Restrictions.
2. Your license to use Glimmer
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use one copy of Glimmer on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Usage Rules.
This is a license, not a sale. We and our licensors keep all right, title, and interest in Glimmer.
What you may not do
- Copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the App, except as applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, or attempt to derive its source code or puzzle-generation logic, except as applicable law expressly permits
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with advertising, purchase verification, hint limits, progression gates, or other technical measures in the App
- Use automated means to play, extract content, or generate ad impressions, rewards, or events; or otherwise interfere with the normal operation of the App or the services it depends on
- Use the App in violation of applicable law, or export it in violation of United States export control or sanctions rules
3. Content and intellectual property
Glimmer’s name, logo, story, characters, written narrative, artwork, maps, illustrations, music, sound design, puzzle layouts, and software are owned by Zero Point Labs or used under license, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.
Sharing what you make in the App. Glimmer can produce share images of completed puzzles and daily results. You are welcome to post, message, or otherwise share those images for personal, non-commercial purposes, including on social media, with attribution to Glimmer where practical. That permission does not extend to extracting, redistributing, or repackaging the App’s artwork, story text, audio, or puzzle sets on their own.
Akari — also called Light Up — is a public-domain puzzle genre. Our implementation, puzzle sets, difficulty design, and presentation are our own work.
4. Advertising
Glimmer is supported in part by advertising served through Google AdMob. You may choose to watch a rewarded advertisement to receive an additional hint, and the App may show a frequency-capped interstitial at a natural break after a completed or abandoned puzzle. Rewarded ads are always optional; declining one never blocks play.
Advertisements come from third parties. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the products, services, or claims in any advertisement, or for the practices of any advertiser or the sites and apps an advertisement leads to. Your dealings with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser.
How advertising data is handled, and the choices you have over personalized advertising and tracking, are described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Hints, rewards, and in-game items
Hints, hint credits, streaks, achievements, unlocked glimmers, and any other in-game item or status are a limited license to use a feature inside Glimmer. They are not your property, have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash or anything else outside the App, and may not be transferred, sold, or exchanged. We may change, expire, or discontinue in-game items and features, subject to Section 6 for items you have paid for.
6. Purchases
Glimmer may offer optional one-time in-app purchases, such as a permanent feature unlock or an additional story volume. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store under the Apple Media Services Terms. We do not receive or handle your payment card or account credentials.
- Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may change over time. A price change never affects a purchase you have already completed.
- Non-consumable purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices using Apple’s standard restore mechanism.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue, reverse, or guarantee an App Store refund, though we are glad to help you understand what a purchase includes. Where consumer law in your country gives you a statutory cancellation or refund right, that right applies regardless of this paragraph.
- Content already free stays free. We will not move content you already have into a paid purchase.
- If a paid feature is discontinued while you still have access to it, we will make a reasonable effort to preserve equivalent access or, at our discretion, to remedy it.

7. Your game data and device
Glimmer stores progress, streaks, preferences, and purchase-related state on your device. We do not operate a Glimmer account system and do not keep a server copy of your progress. That means progress can be lost if you delete the App, reset or lose your device, or restore from a backup that does not include the App’s data. Keeping device backups current is your responsibility, and we cannot recover lost progress.
8. Updates and changes to the App
We may release updates, and may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features — including puzzles, story content, daily challenges, and advertising behavior — at any time. Some updates may be required for the App to keep working. We may also stop supporting older iOS versions or devices. We are not liable to you for modifying or discontinuing any part of the App, except as Section 6 provides for paid features.
9. Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting Glimmer from your devices. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms, including the restrictions in Section 2. On termination, the license in Section 2 ends and you must stop using and delete the App. Sections 3, 5, 6, and 10 through 15 survive termination.
10. Third-party services and technical data
Glimmer relies on services provided by Apple and Google, including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google AdMob, and Google’s User Messaging Platform. You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms that govern those services when you use the App. Your use of them is also subject to the providers’ own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability is outside our control.
You agree that we and our service providers may collect and use technical data and related information — including information about your device, operating system, and app software — gathered periodically to provide updates, support, advertising, and other services related to the App, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may use this information in a form that does not personally identify you to improve Glimmer.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
Glimmer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zero Point Labs disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of defects, that puzzle content will meet your expectations, or that data stored on your device will be preserved.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory consumer rights you have where you live.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zero Point Labs and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost game progress, arising out of or related to Glimmer or these Terms, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to Glimmer or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid through the App Store for Glimmer and its in-app purchases in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty United States dollars (US $50).
These limits apply to the maximum extent permitted by law and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zero Point Labs from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your use of Glimmer in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Apple-specific terms
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Zero Point Labs only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for Glimmer or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Glimmer. If Glimmer fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Glimmer. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Glimmer, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, or consumer protection claims, and is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party intellectual property infringement claim relating to Glimmer.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in New York County, New York have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law entitles you to the protection of your local mandatory consumer rules and courts, this section does not deprive you of that protection.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through this page, the App, or the App Store listing as appropriate. Continuing to use Glimmer after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the App.
17. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Zero Point Labs about Glimmer. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
18. Contact
Questions, complaints, or claims about Glimmer should be directed to us. We are the only party responsible for the App and its content, and we answer support mail ourselves.
